Review Policy

Hey! You’re here! Want me to review a book? Check out my review policy.

What I Review

I mainly read young adult fiction, but I also read new adult and adult books. My favorite genres are usually fantasy + adventure (think, Sarah J Maas, Leigh Bardugo), but I also love me some romance, contemporary and historical fiction.

What I Don’t Review

I do not review thrillers or horror. They give me the heebie-jeebies. Non-fiction, middle-grade, and poetry books aren’t really up my alley either.

Review Copies I Accept

Finished copies, e-books, and ARCs are most welcome. I may accept self-published books if it appeals to me. 🙂

The Review

My reviews contain a synopsis from Goodreads, cover art (or a photo I took) and my own rating:

5 stars for super awesome

4 start for great, with some points of improvement

3 stars for meh, just okay but you can skip it if you like

2 star for not worth it

1 star for don’t bother

I try to make my reviews conversational and casual. I also keep them tastefully honest. I point out what I love and don’t love. If any, I point out areas that might need improvement. I usually review new releases within the year of publication. For ARCs, I’ll post a review within the month of release. I also make evergreen content, such as list posts of books (ie, Top 5 favorite Romantic YA Reads) every now and then.

Other Stuff

I would love to host giveaways and author interviews! Bookish merch features are also welcome.
